BARNA Learning and Teaching Resources are not a replacement for formal training in Higher Education Institutes. They are intended to complement the above, also to guide and support ongoing internal orientation and refresher training. These packs have been designed for use either for informal group training within the workplace or by individuals at home. They can be used towards Revalidation.

BARNA Learning and Teaching Resources are free to all BARNA members and can be accessed via the Members Only portal.
The Airway Resource is now available in the Members Only area. Breathing Resource will follow by late spring and Circulation by the autumn this year.

The resource is made up of 5 modalities:
The content information is integrated and matched across all 5 modalities. A list of detailed competencies is given for the topic. The presentation provides information needed for the competencies. Additional information adds depth and detail. The workbook tests the specific knowledge learned. The poster provides stimulus to learn and to teach from.
The content is divided up into sections as follows:
a. Airway : Basic Sciences
b. Airway : Anaesthesia and Surgery
c. Airway : Equipment
d. Airway : Assessment
e. Airway : Management
f. Airway : Specific Complications
Each of these sections has is represented in the above modalities as competencies, presentations, additional information and workbook.
