Currently anaesthetic and recovery practice remain underdeveloped as critical care specialities in the UK.
Our aim is to provide education and training content for both these areas as follows –

- Establish curricula for anaesthetic and recovery practice [adults and paediatrics].
- Develop learning and teaching material derived from curricula.
- Map out competencies derived from curricula and education content.
- Maintain a current UK Directory for Post Registration Nursing Courses in Anaesthetics and Recovery.
- Orgniase scientific programmes for study days, conferences and webinars.
- Develop a research primer to encourage research into our disciplines.
We will achieve this through :
- Enabling BARNA members to join the FORUM.
- Drawing in specialist advice and expertise from outside our membership to further the
- Ensuring regular contact among FORUM members via Zoom meetings
- Ensuring the FORUM members take on manageable projects.
- Maintaining two day reporting to the BARNA Board of Trustees.
