Aims and Objectives of the FORUM Currently anaesthetic and recovery practice remain underdeveloped as critical care specialities in the UK. Our aim is to provide education and training content for both these areas as follows –
Objectives :
Establish curricula for anaesthetic and recovery practice [adults and paediatrics].
Develop learning and teaching material derived from curricula.
Map out competencies derived from curricula and education content.
Maintain a current UK Directory for Post Registration Nursing Courses in Anaesthetics and Recovery.
Orgniase scientific programmes for study days, conferences and webinars.
Develop a research primer to encourage research into our disciplines.
We will achieve this through :
Enabling BARNA members to join the FORUM.
Drawing in specialist advice and expertise from outside our membership to further the
effectiveness of the FORUM and its outputs.
Ensuring regular contact among FORUM members via Zoom meetings
Ensuring the FORUM members take on manageable projects.
Maintaining two day reporting to the BARNA Board of Trustees.
