BARNA is a limited company [2809708]] listed at Companies House, and a Registered Charity [1039150].

The company is managed by a Board of Directors elected from the membership.  The Annual General Meeting is held traditionally at the Annual Conference where committee members are elected onto the Board. Vacancies are advertised to membership prior to the conference, members are encouraged to seek election.  Members may obtain copies of the minutes of the AGM and the Financial Report on request.

BARNA is the official UK representative to the IFNA [International Federation of Nurse Anaesthetists] and ICPAN [International Collaboration of Peri-Anaesthesia Nurses].   On joining BARNA, all members  automatically become members of these global organisations.  BARNA elects a national UK representative from membership to serve on the Global Advisory Panel of the ICPAN Board.  Similarly a BARNA member is elected to serve on the IFNA Board.

Both IFNA and ICPAN hold excellent international meetings which are advertised on this website.
